  • Highly recommend

“I highly recommend Robert Milla. I was recommended to Mr. Milla by a friend of mine who used him for her permanent residency application as well. Both my husband were touched by the fact that Robert took the time to get to know us during our first meeting with him, before we began the application process. Throughout the process, Robert was very helpful answering any questions we had and educating us on our legal rights. I was a nervous wreck on the day of my permanent residency interview, and Robert put all my fears at ease by assuring me that I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Rest assured, Robert will be my choice as I go to apply for my citizenship in the next few years! Result: Application for adjustment of status to permanent resident (“green card”) approved”

  • Highly recommended!

“My wife and I used Robert Milla as our attorney to file for my wife's green card (through marriage). He was careful, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive (much better than a previous immigration attorney we hired for a different matter). Everything went smoothly with our application and interview, and my wife now has her green card! Highly recommended!”

  • As of today I am a proud and happy American citizen

“After 4 years of anguish of what will happen with my case I almost had given up. I kept thinking I had ruined it for my kids and we might have to go back. I met Robert when I was almost burned out from all the worries. It felt like meeting an old friend and we had a talk and went through options. He leaves the big words when he works to get the case done, not to show you that he is a great lawyer. But if you trust your heart you will see that you just got lucky stumbling on him. No false promises, I knew all the time where my case was standing and the risks I could face. He thinks ahead and covers all the gaps to get the case done. Later I learned that he actually teaches immigration classes as well but even when he is busy he gets right back to you answering your questions and giving updates. I am very happy I had Robert by my side in my most difficult time and will always keep wishing him well. Thank you Robert you will always have a fond place in our hearts : )”

  • Personal immigration lawyer

“Justin is my goto immigration lawyer. I came here as a student and Justin handled my H1B case couple of years ago. Although Trump administration was pushing back on many of the cases with RFEs, Justin gave a strongly worded response back and got me, my H1B. Last year, fortunately I met my now wife and after we got married, Justin handled our green card processing with ease and seamlessly. He has many contacts in the Immigration office, which made even more easier and hospitable for my interview. He was available throughout the interview and even helped on a couple difficult questions in between the interview. Throughout the processing, I found Justin highly organized and great understanding of the domain. He is very current with the news and changes to immigration laws and if he doesn't have answer then, you can expect an email to follow up with answers. I highly recommend Justin as a personal immigration lawyer.”

  • The best legal group I've ever had the pleasure of working with in my life.

“Justin Hoefflicker and his team went above and beyond to help us every step of the way. We are a small digital health startup, and without Justin, our company would potentially not be able to continue operations. He helped us secure an H1B visa for our Technical Co-Founder, and went above and beyond through preparation of materials, explaining the process, answering a million follow-up questions (that's an understatement), taking the time to meet and discuss contingencies when he absolutely didn't have to, helping us file a complete Request-for-Evidence (RFE) and not charging us for the additional work, and ultimately, helping us secure the H1B in the end. Even if we hadn't gotten the H1B, I'd still be submitting this review as it's fully merited and Milla & Associates is by far the best legal group I've ever worked with. They're honest, they actually care, they do great legal work at appropriate rates, they actually follow through, they get everything done on time, and they go above and beyond to make sure expectations are set correctly in what can be a very difficult and touchy legal-sphere (immigration). I am extremely grateful for having had the opportunity to work with them, and I wish we had a similar experience with every legal group we had to work with. Thank you Justin and team.”

  • Impressive work and professionalism.

“My husband and I had a very complicated I601 and I212 waiver case and had to hire an attorney no matter what. We searched online for weeks trying to find the best one since we were living in Costa Rica and wanted an attorney from Chicago. We hired Robert after reading his impressive curriculum and experience, plus he did not have any issues with the bar. I am a Costa Rican citizen married to a USC. All of our communication was done over the phone and email but that didn't make it less personal. I am a complete "worrier", I worry about every single thing that can go wrong and I ask a ton of questions. He was always happy to answer them in a timely manner. With Robert's guidance and expertise we were able to put together a very strong argument as to why my husband couldn't live in Costa Rica and why he needed me with him. Although this is the truth, it is extremely hard to know how to accurately prove this to USCIS, you really have to know how the waiver process works and doing it without a responsible and honest lawyer is not what would recommend to ANYONE. Robert helped us file the waiver and it was approved today, November 21st 2013!!! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY, HANDS DOWN recommend Attorney Robert Milla for any immigration matter, he knows what he is doing and has the experience needed to win cases. My husband and I will be forever thankful to Robert for bringing us together again”

  • Thank you so much

“I thank God for put Robert on my way. I had a complicated VAWA case due to domestic violence (DV), I had others immigration attorneys opinions where they did not give me much hopes because my short marriage. I got Robert's information from a DV organization, got a free consultation and with not doubt I hired him. He is an excellent attorney, knows what he is doing and how to put your case on the right path. As I mentioned my case was complicated and with God's help, Robert's made it easier. My DV case was approved with no inconvenience and got my interview 6 months after my approval, he prepared me one week before my interview and got me ready for the best and the worst scenario. Thank God in my interview I got approved on the spot and after a week I got my green card. Another important thing is that he is affordable, he has a huge heart and always answered my questions when I had any. I also want to thank his receptionist Sylvia, she was so kind and assisted me during my process after my assistant Maria was gone. If you need an attorney with experience, very reasonable price but with quality and compassion then Robert is the one you need.”
