Yesterday, the United States Marine Corps celebrated its 238th birthday.

On this Veterans Day, I would like to express a heartfelt thank you to my father and all those tough leathernecks who have served and are currently serving. The Marine Corps helped shape my father into a great man and I am eternally grateful and proud to be the son of a Marine.

Eleanor Roosevelt summed it up best:

“The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps.”

-Eleanor Roosevelt, 1945, Quantico, VA

Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fidelis!
